Various Types of Electric Instruments

When photography was invented, painters decried it as something that would never replace their beloved age-old art.  Indeed, photography became an alternative art form existing beside it.  In a similar fashion, various types of electric instruments have come into being over the years, with some types of electric musical instruments coming to be accepted into the mainstream while others faded back into obscurity.

The never-ending advance of technology has allowed for inventors to experiment with the electrification of instruments, and the types of electric-powered instruments have increased with the sophistication of electronics.  In the late 1980s, an electronic version of the saxophone was among the first types of electric instruments for sale in the market.
