The first and formost software accessory which any serious violin played needs to have is the Intellitouch PT-1 tuner. The tuner is designed to tune most of the eletric string instruments. The most convenient part of using this software/device is that it is without wires, microphones or pickups. The power is drawn from a 3-volt lithium coin battery. This power source is rechargeable & INB markets the chargers for these type of batteries.
The other most sought after tuner is the Peterson StroboStomp 2 Pedal Virtual Strobe Tuner. It has 22 tempered tunings for electric string guitars & violins, and 5 user programmable tuners. All this comes with a no compromise accuracy of 0.1 cent. Tuning range: 8Hz to 1975Hz. 1/4" and XLR ins and outs.
Another must have is the Violin pickup by Fishman. This pickup delivers all the true tonal characteristics of your instrument. Fishman’s floating pickup delivers accurate, even tone at any volume, reliably sensing string vibrations and ignoring unwanted background noise. This pickup installs easily into the wing slot of any violin bridge. The V-100 has a tailpiece-mounted 1/8" mini-jack.
